Patras: Epaminondas Christopoulos has passed away – He honored the Hippocratic Oath – 2024-03-02 13:53:34

An elite member is called to leave the medical community of Patras. Epaminondas Ch. Christopoulos passed away at the age of 82.

The deceased was born in Patras in 1942. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens in 1973. Then specialized in Pathology and received the relevant title in 1984.

He practiced freelancing for many years in the center of our city and provided his services as also contracted as an auditor to various insurance funds and especially to Oikos Nautou.

Has been member of the Medical Association of Patras continuously since 16/5/1973while he was a member of the board of directors between 1996-1999.

“It was man of science and social contribution while he was noted for his gentleness of character. As a physician he honored the Hippocratic Oath, he served his science with selflessness, dedication and commitment to his patients” he notes the president of the Medical Association of Patras, Anna Mastorakou. The Board of Directors of the Association issued a resolution saying goodbye to its elected member.

Epaminondas Christopoulos he was the brother of two also very dear doctors of the town -of the deceased Charalambos Christopoulos who served the medical field from various positions with ethics and consistency and microbiologist Evlampia Christopoulou, wife of the pathologist Polykarpos Christodoulidis.

All three brothers followed in their father’s medical footsteps Christos Christopoulos. Their children also continue the medical tradition.

The deceased had a daughter Christina, who with her husband Georgios-Mario Antipas gave him two grandchildren, Sofia and Konstantinos.

THE FUNERAL

His funeral service will be held next Monday, March 4 at 3 p.m. in the Holy Church of the Evangelist of Patras and his burial will take place in the Zarouchleikon cemetery.
