Expanding the Sacred Infrastructure Across Brazil
When the doors officially open following Sunday’s broadcast sessions at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the Belo Horizonte sanctuary will become the 12th operating temple in Brazil. The single-story structure spans approximately 2,665 square feet and is situated in the Engenho Nogueira neighborhood of Belo Horizonte. Construction began in June 2023 following its initial announcement by the late President Russell M. Nelson during the April 2021 general conference.
Before the property welcomed the public for tours between June 13 and June 27—drawing visitors of all ages and faiths—the public open house period ended on June 27.
