A Federal Highway Police held today the seizure of a bus loaded with more than 80 iPhones, as well as tablets, clothes and perfumes, on BR-040, in Santa Maria, in the Federal District. The cargo, according to the PRF, was without an invoice.
During a routine inspection, the police approached the travel bus, which was traveling from São Paulo (SP) to Brasília (DF), and found that there were no passengers, just the company’s two drivers.
According to reported by G1the shipment included:
25 iPhones 13;
27 iPhones 14;
10 iPhones 15 Pro Max;
20 iPhones 15.
When questioned, the company’s drivers said that it had been chartered to bring the goods, where they would be delivered to those responsible. According to the PRF, there were objects from different places, including China.
Due to the lack of invoices, the bus and cargo were taken to the Federal Revenue Service in Brasília. The drivers were charged with the crime of embezzlement — which carries a prison sentence of one to four years — and must remain before the courts.
Yesterday, we commented that the SP Civil Police recovered more than 800 cell phones stolen in a mega operation. Furthermore, the PRF also managed to seize more than 20 iPhones brought from Paraguay to the Metropolitan Region of Recife (PE).
