A landslide occurred this Sunday, August 7, around noon, in the chimney located between the Canigou peak and the Cortalets refuge.
According to the first elements, several people were injured, including one quite seriously, with a broken pelvis. It is not known for the moment whether they are participants in the Canigou championship which was held this Sunday, or spectators of the race.
The helicopter from the Pamiers gendarmerie, as well as the Dragon 34 from Sdis Hérault, the mountain CRS and the high mountain gendarmerie platoon were dispatched to the scene to rescue the victims.
