Remember Valerka from The Elusive Avengers? You won’t believe where he is now

They predicted a great future for him, but he disappeared from the screens.

Mikhail Metelkin played the intelligent Valerka in The Elusive Avengers. The assistant director spotted little Misha at school and invited him to Mosfilm. So Misha Metelkin got into the films “They call, open the door” and “Trains go past the windows.” On the set, the young actor became friends with Viktor Kosykh, with whom they would later play together in The Elusive Avengers. It was Kosykh who suggested taking Misha for the role of Valerka.

Director Edmond Keosayan liked Misha Metelkin, but he did not want to take him to the film because of his short stature, but in just a few months the young actor grew and was approved for the role. His father, a cavalryman, was especially proud of the boy.

After school, Metelkin decided to enter VGIK, however, at the Faculty of Economics. And then he went into the army, where he served as a photojournalist. Having played a few more roles in the cinema, Mikhail Metelkin decided that it was much more interesting for him to be a director, and not an actor.

Metelkin made several short films, and then a big movie – “Freezes take place.” Mikhail Metelkin has directed both documentaries and commercials. But directing did not bring money – and Metelkin went into business.

Mikhail Metelkin is periodically called to talk shows, but the former actor does not like the attention of reporters and television people. It is known that Metelkin leads a healthy lifestyle, travels a lot and goes in for equestrian sports.
