Seedling Absorbs Go Climate Positive to Scale Mid-Market Carbon Accounting
Seedling has acquired UK-based carbon accounting firm Go Climate Positive in a transaction that closed on October 31, 2026, as ESG Today reported. The deal expands the B Corp-certified carbon management platform’s client base among scaling and mid-market businesses requiring standards-aligned reporting.
Transition Plans for Go Climate Positive Clients
Under the agreement, Go Climate Positive clients will transition to the Seedling platform over the coming weeks. Each migrating client will receive support from a named Seedling carbon specialist to ensure continuity in net-zero planning, carbon reduction programs, and supplier initiatives.
Founders Eoin McQuone and Stephanie Lee established Go Climate Positive in 2020. The pair will remain closely involved through the handover to maintain service continuity and prevent disruption to ongoing projects. Following the transition, McQuone and Lee will shift their focus toward providing in-depth consultancy and training services for larger enterprises.

“Eoin and Steph have built GCP on a foundation of technical excellence and strong client relationships, and we’re very glad they chose Seedling to continue that work,” said Seedling Co-founder Blair Spowart, as reported by Seedling. Seedling Co-founder Blair Spowart
Consolidation Across the Carbon Management Sector
The acquisition represents the latest consolidation wave within the carbon accounting software market. Similar transactions throughout the year include Green Project Technologies acquiring Optera, Novisto absorbing Minimum, Greenly purchasing Normative, and Diginex acquiring Plan A, according to OneStopESG.
Seedling currently supports more than 500 businesses in measuring, reducing, and reporting full-scope greenhouse gas emissions through its software platform combined with direct advisory support. Financial terms of the Go Climate Positive acquisition were not disclosed by either party.
