The region’s animal protection department and the police are aware, but are doing nothing to put an end to the situation, according to Flemish MP Els Sterckx (Vlaams Belang).

Two breeders managed to convince the woman, who is not very strong mentally, to keep these dogs for them, by threatening to euthanize them. A year ago, it was about thirty dogs. Now there are already seventy. A close acquaintance convinced the lady in question to voluntarily give up 31 dogs. They are cared for in two shelters in the region
