(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Kyung-yun = Short track national team short track athlete Lee Jun-seo (Korea National Sports University), a silver medalist at the 2022 Winter Olympics, has been criticized by netizens for releasing a video of the national team selection match held last year.

Lee Jun-seo re-posted the edited video, but only caused misunderstandings from netizens.

The video in question was uploaded to Lee Jun-seo’s YouTube channel on the 22nd.

This video is an edited video of the process from winning the Beijing Olympic medal. The selection process for the national team, training in the athletes’ village, and appearances during the Beijing Olympics were included.

Netizens raised questions after seeing the scene of the national team selection match.

Junseo Lee participated in the national team selection event held at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul last May and behaved suspiciously after the 1,500m Super Final.

According to the video, Jun-seo Lee gave a high-five after finishing the match with Dae-heon Hwang (then Korea National University), Jang-hyeok Park, Seung-soo Han, and Dong-wook Kim (above Sports Toto), who participated at the time, and all rejoiced together.

At that time, Lee Jun-seo ranked 1st, Park Jang-hyeok 2nd, Han Seung-soo 3rd, Kim Dong-wook 4th, Park In-wook (Daejeon Athletics Association) 5th, and Hwang Dae-heon 6th.

As a result of this match, Hwang Dae-heon, Lee Jun-seo, and Park Jang-hyeok took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the combined 1st and 2nd rounds and qualified to participate in the individual Olympic Games. Kwak Yoon-ki (Goyang City Hall) and Kim Dong-wook took 4th and 5th places to qualify for the team event.

Park In-wook (Daejeon Athletic Association), who did not give a high-five after finishing fifth in the 1,500m Super Final, was eliminated from the national team.

Seeing the members of the team rejoice with each other, netizens raised doubts that the five players were so-called ‘jjajjami’.

It is suspected that five players from Korea National University and Sports Toto joined forces.

However, there is no evidence that 5 players eliminated Park In-wook with ‘Jjamjami’.

At that time, Park In-wook did not even raise an objection to overturn the decision after the game was over.

Lee Jun-seo’s unnecessary video disclosure has only caused misunderstandings.

An official from the Korea Skating Federation said, “No athlete raised an objection in the 1,500m Super Final in the men’s short track national team selection event last year.”

In addition, Park In-wook recently cheered for the men’s relay team participating in the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games on his social media.

He also posted a picture of himself with Hwang Dae-heon and others.
