Slipknot announces its first concert in CDMX

Slipknot has just announced that they will visit our country to offer their first two individual concerts, which will take place in Mexico City and Guadalajara, on November 8 and 9; There are already dates for pre-sale, general sale and, not only that, but also for fans to register as soon as possible to a link that the band shared on their networks.

Although it is not the first time that Slipknot will set foot on Mexican soil, since in the past it has already participated in musical events, as happened five months ago, when the band headlined the “Hell and Heaven” festival, held at the Forum Pegaso, in Toluca, this will be the first time they offer a completely their own concert.

This is the first show, exclusively theirs, that their Mexican fans will be able to enjoy in 25 years of experience.

Mexico will be one of the countries that the group has considered to carry their “25th anniversary”, through which they will also visit other parts of the world.

In fact, the first country that will be able to witness the repertoire with which Slipknot will celebrate their career in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the city where they will open the tour, on October 19 and 20.

Subsequently, the band – originally from Iowa, United States – will arrive in our country on November 8 and 9; They will first appear on Calle 2, Guadalajara, and the next day they will be at Parque Bicentenario in CDMX, located between the Miguel Hidalgo and Azcapotzalco municipalities, by the Refinería station on line 7 of the metro.

The group has specified that ticket sales will be limited, so they offered a link for fans where they can request preferential sales, which will take place even before the pre-sale itself.

The sale to fans, who call themselves “maggots”, will take place on Thursday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The pre-sale is available for people with a Banorte card on May 2, 3, 4 and 5, starting at 11 a.m.

And the general sale will start from May 6.

Although the band did not give any details on the number of tickets that will be put on sale, we know that Parque Bicentenario has a capacity of around 11,800 people.

It should be remembered that during their performance at Hell and Heaven in 2023, drummer Jay Weinberg played with the group for the last time.
