A 36-year-old Sérésien was arrested on Friday around 10:40 p.m. on Place des Guillemins after assaulting a TEC driver. The suspect, who was boarding the bus, had tried to validate his card, without success. After several unsuccessful attempts, the driver therefore asked him to leave the vehicle. What did not please the Seresian. He got angry and struck several blows at the bus driver, who has been unable to work for seven days.
The Seresian was arrested by the police. Referred to the Liège prosecutor’s office, he says he does not remember anything. Not even the intervention of the police. Under the influence of drink at the time, he explained that he was an alcoholic, but said he was ready to compensate his victim.
He was finally released but will have to answer for these blows and injuries on June 29 before the criminal court of Liège.
