The Directorate stated in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that “according to the directives of the Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari and the Undersecretary for Police Affairs, and under the supervision of the Director General of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control, Major General Ahmed Saleh Hammoud, with a qualitative security operation and by obtaining intelligence information, the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control / Directorate Narcotics Control (Dhi Qar), a family of narcotic trafficking consisting of (8) defendants, including women, was arrested, and they were seized with (10,000) ten thousand narcotic pills of the type Captagon.
And she added, “They were referred to the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Legal Article 28, drugs, to receive their just punishment.”
