The first comment from the Food and Drug Administration about chilled meat causing serious diseases

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Food and Drug Authority denied rumors circulating regarding the possibility of chilled meat causing serious diseases.

The authority confirmed that it is not true that chilled meat causes weak immunity, cancer, headaches, obesity, and memory and cognition problems in children due to “nitrites / nitrates and monosodium glutamate.”

She pointed out that these elements are additives that are allowed to be used in food and have not been proven to be harmful to health.

She pointed out that processed meat is subject to specifications and requirements that guarantee its safety for human consumption, according to international legislation, even if it is not a healthy option.
