The Kingdom gains market share in Germany

According to data from Euroestacom statistics (Icex-Eurostat) and relayed by Hortoinfo, the main supplier of peppers in Germany remains Spain with a 52.61% market share, but the country continues to lose ground in favor of other producers, in particular products from Morocco, which continues to grow on the international market.

The same source revealed that last year sales of peppers from the Iberian country fell by -16.49% compared to 2020, or 38.8 million kilos less, from 235.3 million kilos in 2020 to 196.5 million kilos in 2021.

On the other hand, Morocco increased its sales over the same period by 26.46%, or 1.54 million kilos more between 2020 and 2021.
