The Ministry of Planning introduces a new district in Baghdad

The ministry stated, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that “the new district is the Al-Zafaraniya district, within the Rusafa district in the capital, Baghdad,” noting that “the regional and local development department in the ministry has studied the reality of the district, in terms of geographical location, area, and population.” , economic potential, services, and found them to be in conformity with the planning standards required for development and upgrading of administrative units.

She added, “The newly created sub-district (Al-Zafaraniya) includes (7) districts and (3) residential neighborhoods, and its center includes (25) localities, and the sub-district has been included in the directory of administrative units of the Republic of Iraq, under the code (23015).”
