The President of Moldova said that the country stopped cooperation with Russia after the start of the special operation

Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that relations with Russia at all levels were terminated after the start of a special operation in Ukraine. She stressed that she initially planned to develop relations with Moscow.

“When we (the Action and Solidarity Party.— “uh”) participated in the elections, we spoke in favor of cooperation and development of relations with Russia. But now relations with the leadership of Russia at all levels have been terminated,” Sindu said on the air of the Moldova-1 TV channel (quoted by TASS).

On November 17, Moldovan Foreign Minister Nikolai Popescu met with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. During the meeting, Mr. Popescu said that Russia is a strategic partner of Moldova and the country is ready to work on developing relations with Moscow.
