The Moto G73 was released earlier this year in January 2023 with the processor MediaTek Dimensity 930, 8GB RAM and a battery of 5000 mAh capacity. Leaving for the screen of this Moto G, it has a 6.5 “IPS panel, with FullHD resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
With the Moto G73 being a model in Motorola’s “premium” midrange line, it’s obvious that it wouldn’t be that cheap. If you are interested in this little guy, get ready to take at least R$ 1,800.00 from your wallet. Perhaps its cost will decrease over the months, but this is the current situation of this device.
Competitor
The Moto G73’s competitor will be a smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy M53, which was launched in April last year, in 2022. The M53 has a dimensity of 900, which is technically an “inferior” version of the 930, but you know how they work processors and compatibility, right? It’s always a mystery. Who knows if the M53 can’t run games better than the G73.
And since these are two intermediaries, everything we played today in the test was in medium graphics quality, right? Come on.

CarX Street
We already opened the video with tragedy on your screen, because the G73 simply DIDN’T TANK the CarX Street even a little bit.
With this device here, you’ll struggle to catch more than the average 19 frames, with 89% stability that we got. And I dare say that even with the lowest graphics, this game does not run at all.
Unfortunately it is ❌No Wheel Seal❌ for the Moto G73 on CarX Street, there’s no maracutaia to save this one.
Call of Duty
In COD I will confess that I was a little disappointed with the performance. As much as everything went well and you can play smoothly, the game still had some crashes and stutterings that were not supposed to happen.
The frame rate of the Moto G73 in COD with medium graphics was 59 FPS with 94% stability.
The defeat was clear for the M53, which scored only 40 FPS on average, with 100% stability, not allowing us to go further in performance.

Diablo Immortal
For those who don’t have a PC strong enough to run Diablo 4, or simply don’t have a computer and only play on their cell phones, Diablo Immortal does the job as a substitute.
Is it possible to play this game on the G73? Well, you can, but it’s that thing, right: 30 FPS spikes, without going beyond that. His stability was 100%, so as for stuttering, no need to worry.
The M53 also stuck at 30 FPS on average, but with a slightly lower stability of 99%.

With the graphics on medium, the frame rate that the G73 managed to achieve was 60 FPS, with 100% stability, a benchmark.

Free Fire
So, editor, does Frifas run on the Moto G73? Honestly speaking, I find it difficult to find a cell phone that cannot run Free Fire, the game even uses a calculator. In fact, the challenge for Potato has been launched, to find out if the worst cell phones, those that don’t even open Chrome, can run Free Fire.
Anyway, the G73 obviously took the average of 60 FPS, with 100% stability.
The M53 scored the same, nailing the 60-frame benchmark at 100% stability.

Genshin Impact
This time it couldn’t be saved, the Moto G73 didn’t run Genshin Impact well on medium graphics. In theory the Dimensity 930 was supposed to perform relatively well on lower and midrange graphics, but that’s not what’s happening. It certainly must be something related to the compatibility of the device itself with the chip, so what we have left is to wait for a future update that will fix these errors.
The Moto G73 averaged 28 FPS, with stability at 88%.
The M53 managed to turn around a little better in this stage, scoring an average of 30 frames, with 93% stability.

Mortal Kombat
And to improve the mood of defeat for G73, we now have an impressive victory for this device in Mortal Kombat.
It surprisingly performed at an average of 120 FPS, with 99% stability, an almost perfect result and well above average for a smartphone of this level.
The M53 was very close in results, but narrowly won. His average was 120 FPS, but with stability at 100%, which results in a feedback.

PUBG
Entering another one of our classic PUBG pranks, we have the G73 with a performance, just like the smartphone category, intermediate. Why that? Basically, the G73 reached the 60 FPS range through GFX Tools, which is good, but it failed to reach the 90 FPS target, which is normally expected for cell phones with this little program running in the background.
Anyway, he averaged 59 FPS, with a stability of 93% on medium graphics.
The M53, without using GFX Tools (because at the time we didn’t use it yet), got an average of 40 FPS, with a stability of 100%.

Tower of Fantasy
Another tragedy that befell our tests was the performance of the G73 in Tower of Fantasy, which was quite disappointing.
It only hit the 50 FPS range, with a poor stability of 83%.
The Galaxy M53 was never tested in this game, which is a shame.

Temperature
As in the previous season, we played an hour of COD Mobile in Battle Royale mode with all graphics at maximum, so we would know how much battery was lost in that period, as well as the temperature of the device’s screen. After that one hour of gaming, the Moto G73 warmed up ????10°C???? on its surface and lost ????18%???? of load.
It’s not the best of results, but it’s not the end of the world either. 10ºC of variation is a relatively low number, but those 18% of charge lost in a little hour of gameplay will cause you problems and you will certainly have to find a socket to stick to at one time or another.
Conclusion
A Moto G is a Moto G, folks. Unfortunately we cannot recommend a smartphone of this level for gaming as it is simply not viable. If you are a Motorola fan and passionately love all the brand’s cell phones, look for an Edge, a G200, but don’t go after a Moto G20, 30, 40, 50 anyway. At least in games, these smartphones disappoint a lot in terms of performance.
With the G73 it was no different. As much as the cell phone has a Dimensity 930 which, in theory, was supposed to perform well in games, the cell phone system simply doesn’t have that “seasoning” of optimization in gamesresulting in what you are watching now: gameplays with several unpleasant crashes, lack of graphics availability and other annoying problems.
With that, the Moto G73 receives the ⚠️The village Wheels⚠️ in our test of games with the graphics in the average, occupying the first place in our ranking. There’s just the detail that he was the first intermediary that we tested in the year, so it’s kind of logical that he would occupy the first place ????.
