Users of the new version of Windows encountered problems

Journalists drew attention to complaints that appeared on the Microsoft customer support website. In a number of publications, users said that they were unable to install the KB5035942 update. We are talking about the fifth major update, which is also called Moment 5. It was released at the end of March.

According to one of the consumers who encountered problems, the update took an hour to install and finally froze. Another said that after a reboot, the update disappeared from Windows Update. “I have Windows 11 23H2, and KB5035942 does not install. The system constantly says that “something went wrong, and don’t worry, we are canceling the installation,” said another PC owner.

Another user recorded a critical error on his computer with code 0x80188309. According to Neowin journalists, it is difficult to give an approximate number of users who were unable to install the current update.

At the end of March, users of computers based on AMD processors spoke about problems that appeared after installing the latest Windows 11 update. Apparently, because of the problem, processors and other AMD components are slowing down.
