On Easter day, actor Sijoy Varghese and his family performed a foot washing service at their home in Edappally, Kochi. They did this to commemorate Christ’s Last Supper and follow Jesus’ example of washing his disciples’ feet during Passover. Sijoy washed the feet of his wife and children, prayed, and broke bread.

Sijoy believes that families should also perform this act of service to strengthen their relationships and promote brotherhood, following Christ’s teaching that whoever wants to be great should be a servant of all.

Aside from his foot washing service, Sijoy is active in the and film industries. He started his acting career with the film ABCD and gained attention for his role in Bangalore Days. He also appears in Tamil cinema and played a villain in the movie Tuniv, which starred Ajith.
