Al-Marsad newspaper: Al-Ekhbariya channel published a report about a young Colombian performing Hajj this year, after he left Christianity and converted to Islam after a business trip in Jeddah.
The channel’s correspondent said that the young man came to Jeddah to work and wanted to change the course of his life after knowing Islam and decided to embrace this religion, which would help him to overcome all his problems in life.
The reporter pointed out that the young man chose a new name for himself after embracing Islam, which is Badr, instead of Alejandro, and then went to perform the Hajj.
The young man said, “All my life I lived with a family that embraced Catholicism, and when I traveled to Saudi Arabia and joined the Islamic Center in Jeddah, I learned about Islam.”
And he added, “friends told me that there are special feelings when you see the Kaaba for the first time, and you will feel so happy that you will cry, so I said I must experience this moment myself.”
Noting that when he went to Umrah for the first time and saw the Kaaba, he loved the place, and felt joy until he cried.
