SATURDAY

The sky will be overcast in the south of the country following the arrival of a disturbance associated with a depression moving northeast over England.

It will rain in the morning over a large southwestern half of the country and this precipitation will move northward during the day, being followed at the end of the afternoon by beautiful sunny spells from the south.

Temperatures will already drop a few degrees compared to the day before with maximums between 9 and 12º at the sea and in the southwest and center of the country, between 12 and 16º in the Ardennes and in the east of the Campine.

The southwest wind will blow with peaks that can reach 50 to 70 km / h during the afternoon.

The night from Saturday to Sunday will be generally dry but rain or showers may appear at the end of the night in western Hainaut and in western Flanders.

The lows will show a slight increase with a range of 7 to 12º.

Sunday

As the depression will move towards the north of the North Sea, it will send us a very unstable maritime air with more and more marked and numerous showers during the day. These will however be interspersed with fairly furtive clearings.

There will be little change in temperatures but the wind will continue to blow unpleasantly with peaks of 55 to 75 km/h.

23 AVRIL

The following night will be marked by a few good showers which will evacuate to the east in the morning in an air where the minimums will show 4 to 7º in the Ardennes and 7 to 10º in the other regions.

Begining of the next week

The depression will settle over southern Scandinavia causing the main current to veer west and later northwest with colder air coming in from the polar regions.

Monday will be marked by sleet which will occur mainly in the eastern half of the country while sunny spells will be predominant in the west and at sea.

24 AVRIL

The wind will still blow at peaks of 35 to 55 km/h and daytime temperatures will drop more and more to no longer exceed 10º on the coast, 12º in the plain and 6º in the Hautes Fagnes where melting snowfall will be probable.

On the other hand, Tuesday will be calmer thanks to the development of an anticyclonic core over England.

25 AVRIL

This will favor often clear skies at night with minimum temperatures that will often drop below 0º in the east of the country. In general, there are minimums of 4 to 7º by the sea, between -1 and 4º in the interior of the country and even between -1 and -7º in certain valleys in the east of the Ardennes.

Tuesday will be marked by sunny periods and a few large cumulus clouds which may still give small showers locally. The temperatures will remain of the same order of magnitude as those of Monday.

Evolution for next Wednesday and Thursday

The anticyclonic cell will move from England to central Europe, passing through Benelux.

The weather will be calm with a few cloudy periods but also more and more sunny spells.

26 AVRIL

The wind will settle in the southeast and bring us drier air and also a little less cold during the day with highs rising first between 8 and 14º but Thursday afternoon between 11 and 17º depending on altitude.

The nights will however still remain cold with local frosts in the interior of the country (!) the minimums generally displaying from the coast towards the Ardennes +5 to -5º for Wednesday morning and +8 to -3º for Thursday morning.
