France vs Côte d’Ivoire: Last Classification Match at World Cup 2023

2023-09-02 07:59:00

At 11:45 a.m., France is playing its second classification match against Côte d’Ivoire, the last of the competition. Even if the disappointment of elimination is still there, the big victory against Iran has given a glimpse of some smiles on the Blues side. Yes, we hang on to what we can, but if we can see some again later before this World Cup 2023 chapter ends, we take it.

Second and last classification match for the Blues at 11:45 am against Côte d’Ivoire. The meeting will be played in Manila before our French take the plane very quickly to complete this nightmare competition.

Côte d’Ivoire will fully play this meeting since the elephants play their direct qualification for the Olympic Games. The Ivorians are in the fight with South Sudan for this non-stop ticket for Paris 2024. We will therefore have to be – one last time – concentrated for the band at Collet. The coach spoke at a press conference about his group, which has found a semblance of smiles in recent days:

“Smiles returned on Thursday. Since we have to stay until Sunday, we might as well play the matches as best as possible. It’s better to have fun, even in circumstances that are painful for us. I congratulated the players for what they did against Iran. –Vincent Collet

Well it’s not a huge jerk either, we’re not going to hide it… but we already have to plan and prepare for the Games, us too, to quickly erase this sad competition. On the blue squad side, the 11 players who took to the court the day before yesterday against Iran will be in the game at 11:45 a.m. against the Ivorians.

See you at noon to end this 2023 World Cup which will have been a long way of the cross for our Blues. And the rest should not be rosy either…
