What we want is to reach justice for the August 4 issue… What did he say about Hezbollah?

Activist William Noun confirmed that in “the last period of last year, specifically the second half of 2022, a decision was taken by the families of the victims not to appear in the media, but what we saw was burying the issue and bypassing all legal matters, which prompted us to return to the street because the investigation is suspended, and when we see The investigation will continue, and naturally, “they will be relieved of me.”

In an interview via “Spot Shot”, he said: “In Lebanon there are always two points of view, 80% are convinced of the issue and sympathize, and there are 20%, no matter how you explain it to them, they are convinced that there is a conspiracy theory.”
Noun confirmed, “There is a meeting that took place today between Judge Ghassan Oweidat and Judge Suhail Abboud, centered on Judge Tariq Al-Bitar and the judicial problem that occurred, and we did not know whether there was a positive result or not.”

He added, “Two weeks ago, I heard from Salem Zahran that there is pressure on the judiciary to release the arrested Muhammad Al-Awf, and there is a travel ban for him, but he left.”

And he stressed that “there has been no conversation between the people and Judge Al-Bitar since his dismissal in order to protect the judicial investigation.”

He said, “We, as parents, want the investigation to continue to reach a presumptive decision, to see its results, and then pass judgment on Judge Al-Bitar.”

He stressed that “the people are against any movement that leads to confrontations. What we want is to reach justice for the issue of August 4, which is supposed to concern all the Lebanese, and no one has the right to give it a sectarian, partisan or political character.”

He continued, “As people, we call on all deputies to support the cause, and whoever comes is welcome. On this basis, we are preparing for a meeting with all deputies who adopt the August 4 cause.”

He believed that “the Supreme Judicial Council has a great responsibility to meet and take the necessary decisions against Judge Oweidat and Judge Al-Bitar.”

And he stressed that “what happened is recorded and known, and it is not possible for a decision to release the detainees suddenly,” describing what happened as a “film.”

Noun stressed that “there is constant communication with Bkerke, with Dar Al Iftaa, and with most religious authorities, and it is clear that Patriarch Al-Rahi has a clear position with the forensic investigation, and I believe that if an illegal decision is issued by Judge Al-Bitar, he will understand the situation so that the shepherd does not support a person, but rather the judicial investigation.”

He added, “Hezbollah is against Judge Al-Bitar, and this matter is strange, as no one from the party has been asked for investigation, so why all this attack on the judiciary?”

Noun concluded by saying: “When the indictment or any court decision is issued, and we know how the explosion occurred, we may be convinced, and we may not.”
