William of Ragoora, Cloonacool, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, passed away peacefully at Sligo General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. William leaves behind a grieving family, neighbours, and friends as preparations begin for his final farewell.
A Community Mourns in Co. Sligo
The passing of William brings a sense of loss to the Ragoora and Cloonacool areas of County Sligo. Family, friends, and neighbours have gathered to support one another following his peaceful departure at Sligo General Hospital. William is now reunited with his late parents, Mary and William, as well as his predeceased sisters and brothers.
He is dearly missed by his sister Anne Toher, brother Padraic, sister-in-law Kay, and his much-loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. His extended family and circle of friends remember him.
Funeral Arrangements and Memorial Services
Mourners will gather to pay their respects during a series of services in County Sligo. Reposing takes place at Morahans Funeral Home in Tubbercurry on Friday, September 25, 2026, beginning at 5.30 pm. Removal is scheduled for 7.30 pm to arrive at St. Michael’s Church in Cloonacool for 8.00 pm.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11.00 am, followed by funeral proceedings to Cloonacool Cemetery for burial. In accordance with family wishes, it will be a family flowers only gathering. Those wishing to honour William’s memory are invited to make donations to the North West Hospice in Sligo. For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be live-streamed via the Tubbercurry Cloonacool parish webcam.
