[Reporters Huang Xulei and Li Huizhou/Kaohsiung report]The 2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival aerial main light “Spotlight Taiwan Tiger Star High Illumination” drone show was originally scheduled for a test flight in Aihe Bay at 9:45 tonight. Due to temporary aircraft passing by, the organizer temporarily announced a 15-minute delay in take-off. At 10 o’clock in the evening, 1,500 drones took off again to show the story of Taiwan Semiconductor Chip, Dai Ziying and the globe. The light and shadow reflected on the sea surface for 10 minutes, and nearly 10,000 people applauded.

Temporarily, there will be a 15-minute delay for the performance after the plane has been delayed for 15 minutes.

Tourists have been waiting on the Whale embankment one after another since 9 o’clock in the evening. There is still no trace of drones during the scheduled take-off time. The organizer announced that due to the temporary passing of aircraft over the sky, which affected the take-off and landing of drones, the event was postponed to 10 o’clock.

The night sky is hung with a bright half-moon, the Taiwanese ballad “Four Seasons Red” and the soft female voice warm-up accompaniment. The drone shows tiger face, Taiwan Semiconductor Chip, Dai Ziying’s heroic jump and Kaohsiung ticket 3D brilliant scenes. Finally, there is a vertical height of more than 40 floors (nearly 130 meters), which is 35 meters higher than the opening diameter of the Tokyo Olympics. Rotating the earth, nearly 10,000 people applauded and shouted “Encore” at the same time.

It has been confirmed that the aircraft of major European and American manufacturers are not made in China.

Due to the high proportion of the civilian drone manufacturer “DJI” in the Taiwan market, it was once rumored that Chinese drones have an information security crisis; Regarding this doubt, this newspaper exclusively verified that the lantern festival uses the same-level 4-wing model of the European and American manufacturer “Shooting Star”, not from China.

Kaohsiung City Mayor Chen Qimai said that the main aerial light of the lantern Festival, “Spotlight Taiwan Tiger Star Gaozhao”, invited an international professional drone team to Taiwan to perform, which can be called the largest drone art event in Taiwan to date.

Chen Qimai said that the drone show donated the national flags of 6 countries for vaccines, thanked international anti-epidemic partners for their friendship in times of hardship, and prayed for an early end to the global epidemic. The next four performances will be on February 11th, February 12th, February 18th, and February 19th. The performances will start at 9:45 in the evening.
