A spectacular accident occurred early this morning in the center of Antwerp, according to the Antwerp police. A van entered the small Van Eyck tunnel and crashed into the traffic sign at the exit.
The vehicle then lost its load and debris was scattered all over the road. As a result, the tunnel has been closed and major obstructions have been reported for 7 hours.
“We ask everyone to avoid the surroundings as much as possible,” warns the police.
