The results of Bank Al-Maghrib’s survey on lending rates for the fourth quarter of 2022 show an increase in the overall average rate of 26 bps (basis points) to 4.50%.
By economic purpose, the rates stood at 4.35% for cash facilities, 4.40% for equipment loans, 4.84% for real estate loans and 6.40% for consumer credit.
By institutional sector, the rate applied to loans to individuals stood at 5.72% and that of loans to non-financial companies at 4.30. For loans to private non-financial companies, the matching rate was 4.40%, with a rate of 4.19% for large companies (GE) and 5.04% for very small, small and averages
businesses (SMEs).
It should be noted that the average global lending rate stood at 4.24% in the 3rd quarter of 2022, down 5 basis points compared to the previous quarter.
