Contaminations
49,482 new cases of Covid-19 contamination have been recorded in the past 24 hours in France.
The seven-day average is 57,186 daily contaminations. It exceeded 130,000 in early April.
Hospitalizations
Hospitalizations continue to decline with 23,302 including 558 new admissions, against 24,840 including 916 new admissions a week ago, according to data from Public Health France.
Within the hospital, critical care is also affected by this drop: there were 1,562 Covid patients on Saturday, against 1,636 last Saturday.
Deaths
61 people have died in hospital from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, for a total of 145,930 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The vaccination
Since the start of the vaccination campaign, 54.3 million people have received at least one injection (i.e. 80.6% of the total population) and 53.4 million now have a complete vaccination schedule (i.e. 79.2% of the total population), according to figures from the Ministry of Health.
