Apple’s iCloud for Windows program appears to be having serious problems for some users, with complaints popping up in several online forums about corrupted videos and photos from strangers in their photo libraries.
MacRamers detected a few complaints from customers who were facing complications with the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro models. Videos recorded on iPhone and then synced to iCloud for Windows turn black with scan lines, making the videos unwatchable.
What is even more disturbing is that some users are seeing strange photos and videos that do not belong to them appearing in their libraries when they try to view these corrupted videos.

In the details, iCloud for Windows spoils the video clips recorded from the iPhone 14 pro max, which results in black videos with scan lines.
In rare cases, it inserts still images into videos from unknown sources, and possibly other iCloud accounts, showing some users photos of other people’s families they hadn’t seen or known before, soccer games, and other random photos, what These users raised concerns and expressed their concerns when using iCloud.
Deleting the iCloud app for Windows does not seem to solve the problem, as it may be server side.

Windows 11 and Windows 10 appear to be affected, and this may only affect devices with certain settings like HDR and HEVC enabled.
