“Michael Tojner as a role model for the ÖVP and Martin Kocher in housing policy?”

Vienna (OTS) – “The current revelations surrounding an alleged draft of the will of the real estate tycoon and billionaire Michael Tojner show how important the protection of non-profit housing is,” pointed out FPÖ building spokesman NAbg today. Mag. Philipp Schrangl on current media reporting and the applicable presumption of innocence for everyone named and involved. Michael Tojner in particular denies the allegations.

“The causes ‘Gesfö, Riedenhof and Pannonia’ prove that non-profit housing must be effectively protected from the profit interests of speculative investors. It is a disgrace in housing policy that ÖVP Economics Minister Kocher is actually marching in lockstep with real estate sharks: “By allowing non-profit social housing to become expensive investor apartments,” Schrangl renewed his criticism of Kocher. “When I think of the new Federal Audit Association, Kocher’s house is even continuing the gradual dismantling of the supervisory architecture of non-profit building associations,” criticized Schrangl.

“The current media reports must give Kocher and his ministry something to think about. Can Michael Tojner really be the federal ÖVP’s role model in housing policy? Where is the responsibility for the people here,” Schrangl announced a question in parliament.
