The French women’s national football team will face Venezuela in Nancy on November 27 and Morocco in Sochaux on December 5 as part of their preparations for the upcoming World Cup, according to announcements made by the French Football Federation.
Following a dominant 9-0 victory over Latvia, the squad managed by Laurent Bonadei is continuing its buildup for the tournament. The global competition is scheduled to run from June 24 to July 25, 2027, in Brazil.
Match Dates, Venues, and Opponent Rankings
The upcoming autumn fixtures will pit the French squad against opponents outside the traditional European powerhouses. Venezuela currently occupies the 42nd spot in the FIFA rankings, while Morocco stands at 64th.
The fixture against Morocco is officially set for Saturday, December 5, at 21h10 at the Stade Auguste-Bonal in Sochaux. The match will be broadcast live on W9. Before that encounter, the team will play Venezuela in Nancy on November 27 at 21h, and an additional away match is scheduled between the two home dates.
The Venezuelan side is led by Ricardo Belli, while the Moroccan selection is managed by Éric Blahic, who serves as a former assistant to Corinne Diacre. The Moroccan team enters the fixture following a victory against Uzbekistan and a fourth-place finish at the most recent African Cup of Nations.
Stade Bonal Welcomes Back the National Team
The December fixture in Sochaux marks a return to a familiar venue. The national team previously played at Stade Auguste-Bonal in 2024, when they defeated Jamaica 3-0 in front of more than 11,000 spectators.
This new international match stems from a joint candidature submitted by Pays de Montbéliard Agglomération and the Football Club Sochaux-Montbéliard in May.
“Hosting the French women’s team reinforces our ability to host major sporting events in our region. It is a major driver for appeal, cohesion and the promotion of our image on a national and international scale.”

Ticket sales for the game have not yet opened, but supporters can sign up for a ticketing alert on the official French Football Federation website.
Upcoming Schedule and Tournament Preparation
While dates and locations for the November 27 and December 5 fixtures are locked in, the opponent and venue for an intervening away match remain to be communicated by the federation. Following the winter friendlies, the official World Cup draw will take place on December 11.
The preparation calendar will continue into early 2027 with matches in the League of Nations scheduled for February, April, and June before the team travels to South America for the tournament.
