Al-Marsad newspaper: Today, Monday, General Security revealed the conditions and procedures for obtaining a license to carry or acquire individual firearms and hunting weapons.
The General Security explained in an infographic that it posted on its Twitter account, that the conditions are:
1- The applicant must be a Saudi national.
2- He must not be less than 22 years old.
3- He should be free of a criminal record.
4- It shall be free from security restrictions that prevent the granting of licenses.
5- The license applicant should not have a disability or disease that prevents him from using a weapon.
6- No modification has been made to the components of the weapon required to be licensed, its working mechanism or its information.
7- Fill out the license application form.
Public Security warned that the license to carry a weapon is revoked in 3 cases, namely: if it is decided to confiscate the weapon and its ammunition, if the licensee loses one of the conditions for granting the license, and if the licensee dies or loses his eligibility.
