Al-Marsad Newspaper: A consultant in obesity and endoscopic surgery, Dr. Ayed Al-Qahtani, revealed a number of factors that confirm the onset of the pre-diabetes stage.
Al-Qahtani said, during his speech on Al-Ekhbariya channel: “The theory that the fat child has good food and good health has ended, and it has become nice to see some families find obesity dangerous even in its beginnings.”
He added: “I tell mothers, when you see darkening in the neck of your son or daughter, elbows, armpits and other places, he should pay attention from the stage of diabetes or pre-diabetes.”
He concluded his speech: If the child suffers from the problem of waking up “suffocating” from sleep, or difficulty walking and climbing the stairs, all these factors contribute to the complications of obesity, in addition to cirrhosis of the liver, cancers and tumors.
