[Tokyo, 15th Archyde.com]–Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno supports the unification of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territory against the Japan-Russia ministerial talks on economic relations at the meeting on the afternoon of the 15th. He expressed the view that he would respond appropriately, including his position.
According to Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno, Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and Russia’s Minister for Economic Development Reshetnikov will participate in a meeting between the chairs of the “Intergovernmental Committee on Trade and Economy” between Japan and Russia on the 15th. Some members of the Liberal Democratic Party have criticized it as “chiguhaguna diplomacy” while the summit telephone talks between Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and President Zelensky of Ukraine are being coordinated.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno emphasized that the US-Japan Foreign Ministers’ Meeting also expressed a consensus view on the situation in Ukraine and that it will work closely with the seven major countries (G7). At the Japan-Russia Ministerial Conference, he said, “We will take appropriate measures, including Japan’s position on Ukraine.”
On the other hand, regarding the number of third inoculations of the new coronavirus, the total number of inoculations increased by about 1.1 million times from the previous day according to the data released on the 15th. It is pointed out that the number is about the same scale as a rule of thumb. He said he was “an indicator” when it came to achieving more than one million doses a day.
After that, he said, “We will keep an eye on the inoculation situation” to see if the number of inoculations in the future will stably exceed 1 million.
