Al-Marsad newspaper: Citizen Sarah Bukhamseen narrated her experience with lupus.

She said during her intervention with the Saudi channel: “In 1994, she was infected with immunodeficiency or a defect in the immune system, and she continued to suffer from the disease for 3 years, and had her spleen removed.”

She continued, “After a year had passed, she developed symptoms of lupus, such as swelling, stiffness, fever, and ulcers,” noting that she visited hospitals for two weeks and the doctors told her that the tests were fine and that she was not suffering from anything, and they gave her depression medications.

She explained that her condition deteriorated and reached a critical stage, then a doctor told her that she had lupus, pointing out that the disease was not hereditary and that no one in her family had it.
