Mazda 2 (2022) 1.5L e-Skyactiv mHEV 90ch Selection test: an unfairly overlooked city car

Redesigned in 2019, the Mazda 2 shines with a line that allows it to let the years pass on its body without withering it. Elegant, chic and sober, it is for the Japanese manufacturer the archetype of the perfect city car. However, few people immediately think of the Mazda 2 when it comes to renewing their city car. Indeed, given the sales figures, the B segment in which it is positioned is monopolized by the Peugeot 208, Renault Clio, Volkswagen Polo, C3 and other Fiestas. However, the Mazda 2 has a few convincing tricks up its sleeve, starting with a 48 V micro-hybrid electrified engine (mHEV) available in two power levels, 90 hp and 115 hp.

Our test version is the Mazda 2 2022 1.5L e-skyactiv-G Mild Hybrid 90ch in the Selection finish. Its price starts at €21,700.
