Naha Marathon 2026 to welcome 30,000 runners in Okinawa on December 6

The 40th NAHA Marathon takes place in Naha City, Okinawa, Japan, on December 6, 2026, welcoming up to 30,000 runners for a certified 42.195-kilometer full marathon across the prefecture.

Healthy participants aged 16 and older are eligible to enter the competition, though competitors under the age of 18 must secure official guardian permission.

Runners face a strict time limit of 6 hours and 15 minutes, which is enforced by operational cutoff points along the certified course. The event kicks off at 9:00 AM sharp on Sunday, December 6, with both the start line and the finish line anchored at Onoyama Park and Ohnoyama Stadium respectively.

Ahead of the starting gun, participants must complete their check-in to secure their race numbers and official commemorative T-shirts. Packet distribution runs on Saturday, December 5, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM inside the Okinawa Prefectural Budokan Arena Building, located at 52 Onoyama-cho, Naha City. The official opening ceremony follows on that same Saturday at 1:30 PM on the arena stage.
