Fantasy & Market Impact
- Backcourt Rotations: Andrew Nembhard and Obi Toppin participated in a community engagement event where they shared their knowledge with children.
Historic Fixture in MÉXICO City
The league fixture at Arena Ciudad de México marks the 35th time the NBA has organized a game in the country, maintaining MÉXICO’s status as the territory outside the United States and Canada with the most hosted games in league history.
Indiana enters the floor holding the 11th position in the Eastern Conference standings with a 3-6 record. Denver arrives holding the 9th spot at 4-3.
Player Perspectives and Altitude Realities
Nikola Jokic draws the heaviest media attention from local fans attending the arena. Despite the visiting squad holding early favoritism in external markets, the players reject the premise.
The altitude in the Ciudad de México can help us because we are accustomed to Denver, and it takes rivals a couple of quarters to adapt,
Jokic noted regarding the physiological challenges of playing in the Mexican capital.
Reflecting on his career longevity alongside his backcourt partner, Jokic added, Playing eleven years alongside Jamal Murray and being champions together is a true privilege.

NBA Cares Community Outreach
Away from tactical preparations, Friday morning featured the NBA Cares clinic at the Arena Ciudad de México. Players including Obi Toppin, Andrew Nembhard, and Kelly Oubre Jr. ran drills focused on fundamental ball-handling, speed, and passing for local youth basketball participants.
Toppin emerged as the central figure for the young participants during the skills sessions. The forward assisted children with scoring attempts and interacted directly with participants throughout the program.
The event offered hundreds of young players direct access to NBA athletes on the official hardwood ahead of the weekend fixture.
