It’s official, Instagram has recently rolled out a new update, where users will be able to react with different emojis to the DM, giving users and creators of the social network a much improved experience.

If it was already possible to react to a private message with a heart, any user can now access the entire catalog of emojis to send a “super reaction”.

Using the feature is very simple. To add an emoji reaction, all you have to do is access the home page, then private messaging by clicking on the pictogram representing a paper airplane (gradually replaced by the same symbol as Messenger), and long press on the message you want to react to.

In addition, by long pressing on the message, it is also possible to quote it by clicking on the Reply box. This manipulation can also be performed in the conversation, by dragging the message to which you want to reply to the right.

Instagram is a social network made to generate reactivity and commitment, because its main objective remains to create links between Internet users, to share feelings, react to messages and display the pleasant moments of their lives to circulate emotion.

It is therefore now possible to react to messages in an individual or group chat with an emoji. A feature already widespread on instant messaging such as Facebook, Messenger, Telegram or even Slack collaborative messaging, but it was absent from WhatsApp.

In the same way, it is possible to delete a reaction by long pressing again on the message, and click on the chosen emoji to delete it.

Users can also view all reactions to a post by tapping the box that appears below the post.

The platform clarified in this sense that only one reaction is possible per message, the reactions to an ephemeral message disappear at the same time as the message, and that it is impossible to hide the reactions or the number of reactions.
