Al-Marsad Newspaper: A new study revealed that 7 occupations put women at risk of ovarian cancer.

Hairdressing

The study indicated that those who work in the fields of retail, clothing and construction may also be exposed to greater risks, noting that those who worked in hairdressing, barbering or cosmetology face a three times higher risk.

The construction field

She noted that women who had worked in accounting for a decade were twice as likely to contract the disease, while those working in construction were three times more likely to be infected.

Stores and sales

And she added that women who work as shop assistants and sales assistants are at increased risk by 45%, while those who make clothes or embroider appear to be at increased risk by 85%, according to the newspaper “The Independent”.

cosmetic talc

The researchers reported that women who had a higher risk were more exposed to the effects of a number of “factors”, including: cosmetic talc, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, hair dust, synthetic fibers, polyester fibers, organic dyes, dyes and bleaches.
