The Public Ministry reported that it is investigating the fact that Two people were killed and two others were injured. of a firearm this Wednesday morning in an entertainment establishment located on the Sabaneta highway, in Villa Los Almácigos.
In the fact is involved Carlos Juan Rodriguez Garcia, provincial director of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, and one of the wounded is a councilor of the People’s Force.
The head prosecutor of this jurisdiction, Sumaya Rodríguez Matías, reported that the official is in custody and that charges will be filed in the next few hours.
While Industry and Commerce announced that it was separating Rodríguez Garacía from the entity until the fact was clarified.
The deceased were identified as Juan de los Santos Peralta Barrientos, 36 years old, who expired due to a gunshot wound in the right temporal parietal region, with no way out, and Marielis Anabel Vargas Villalona, 27 years old, wound at the left frontal level, with no way out, according to the survey report issued by the forensic doctor Elbi Lamí.
The Public Ministry is monitoring the evolution of Erlin Alberto Gómez Rodríguez, who received gunshot wounds to the abdominal region, left iliac fossa and left forearm, as well as Edwar de Jesús Espinal Fernández, who sustained gunshot wounds to his left arm with entry and exit.
“The two injured were initially treated at a private health center at the local level and then referred to another health agency in the region, from where we follow up on them,” explained Rodríguez Matías.
The incident occurred in the El Ganadero food shop. The Public Ministry detailed that the accused used a pistol, of which he said No documents have been provided.
Prosecutor Maura Kenia Gómez led the investigation in which several shell casings were collected from a weapon and the aggressor was captured and a vehicle was seized.
The corpses will be sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), while the investigations and procedural steps in place progress.
