Almost as thin as a credit card: the card from Chipolo called Card Spot measures 2.4 millimeters. Inside the card are concentrated electronics and a battery that unfortunately cannot be changed and has a lifespan of two years. The Card Spot works like Apple’s Airtag item finder: While the Airtags are much more voluminous and don’t easily fit in your wallet, the Chipolo alternative fills exactly this gap. Once set up, you can immediately see where the card is on the iPhone or iPad. If you forget your wallet, you get a push notification on your cell phone or Apple Watch that the card has been left behind. The smart card costs 35 euros, and it even has a built-in speaker if you can’t see it despite all your efforts. (misp.)
