Qatar Navigation’s general assembly approves the distribution of cash dividends

Doha – Mubasher: The Ordinary General Assembly approved Qatar Navigation Company The Board of Directors’ recommendation to distribute cash dividends of 30% of the nominal value of the share, at a rate of 0.3 Qatari riyals per share.

And according to a statement to the Qatar Stock Exchange yesterday, the process of distributing profits will start from Tuesday, March 8, through all branches of Qatar National Bank.

The general assembly also approved the reports of the board of directors and the auditor on the company’s activity, the profit and loss account for the past year, the company’s future plans, and the corporate governance report.

During the meeting, Jassim bin Hamad bin Jassim Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of Milaha’s Board of Directors, presented a summary of the company’s activities and financial results for the year 2021, which witnessed a significant increase in net profit, which amounted to 724 million Qatari riyals, compared to 59 million Qatari riyals in the year 2020.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors praised Milaha’s strength and flexibility in responding to the continuous challenges faced by the shipping industry and global supply chains during the past two years, as the company continued to achieve operational excellence, enhance key activities, implement expansion plans and increase asset efficiency, with a focus on completing the digital transformation process. It is reported that the profits of “Navigation” jumped During 2021 by 1127.12% annually, doubling 11 times; To reach 724 million riyals, compared to 59 million riyals in 2020.
