Replacement of Zuhair Ramadan.. Mohsen Ghazi, head of the Syrian Artists Syndicate

The Syndicate of Artists in Syria announced that its council elected Mohsen Ghazi as captain in an exceptional session, to succeed Zuhair Ramadan, who passed away on November 17, 2021.

Ghazi, a deputy in the People’s Assembly (parliament), won first place during the reconstructive elections for the Syndicate Council that took place during the general conference last week.

According to the biography that the Syndicate recently published about him, Ghazi was born in Hama in 1961. He is a Syrian radio director, actor and singer. He holds a degree in Dramatic Arts – Acting Department in 1984.

Ghazi held the position of head of the Damascus Countryside Branch of the Syndicate of Artists, between 1998-2006, then a member of the Syndicate’s Central Council (2008-2020), then deputy head of the Artists Syndicate 2008-2014.
He was also a member of the Executive Office of the Union of Arab Artists (2009-2013), in addition to his membership in the Syrian People’s Assembly (Parliament) for two legislative terms, the first during the period from 2012 to 2016, and the second is the current one that started in 2020 and ends in 2024.
