Invented in China in 2006, the electronic cigarette seems to have conquered the hearts of smokers. The principle is simple: the device heats an aerosol more or less concentrated in nicotine. The liquids on sale are composed of propylene glycol or glycerol, various flavors and possibly nicotine. Thus, cigarettes can be refillable or disposable (puffs). According to the Léon Bernard Cancer Center, “the current use of a vaporizer was declared by 5.4% of 18-75 year olds, including 4.3% daily, proportions stable compared to 2019”.
