SRS will acquire an access control system for privileged users

The estimated cost of the purchase is 307,025 euros.

Applicants can submit proposals until May 3.

The SRS explained to LETA that privileged users are those users who have additional rights and access to resources and functions. These users are typically system administrators, database administrators, or other users, and have advanced rights because they can access files and folders while performing their job duties, as well as manage other user accounts and their rights.

However, since these users may be performing sensitive and potentially risky tasks, it is important that they be careful and use their privileges carefully so as not to create security risks or cause system instability.

The PAM system is designed to facilitate the control and supervision of such users. The system controls and ensures secure access to information technology resources, includes authentication management, access control, privilege management and auditing of performed actions.

The main goal is to ensure that privileged access follows strict rules with a minimum of security risks and violations, SRS representatives explained.
