Stance Garage Taiwan 2026 draws crowds to TICEC

On October 10 and 11, 2026, the Stance Garage Taiwan 2026 event drew crowds to the TICEC (Taichung International Exhibition Center) in Taichung City, Motor Fan reported.

Scale and Energy at the Taichung Exhibition Center

Marking its seventh iteration, the event was established by organizers dedicated to Japanese street custom culture. It occupied the fourth-floor G&H halls of the TICEC, spanning approximately 14,500 square meters. By comparison, the western exhibition halls of the Tokyo Auto Salon measure roughly 20,220 square meters.

The expansive venue hosted elaborate booths and custom builds over the two-day run. Navigating the floor required patience as crowds packed the aisles, drawing comparisons to the bustling atmosphere of a Friday afternoon at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Diverse Platforms and Local Tuning Ingenuity

Because left-hand-drive configurations dominate Taiwan, the vehicle pool extended far beyond Japanese domestic market imports. European nameplates like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Ford, Volkswagen, and Škoda served as foundations for aggressive widebody conversions and heavy suspension drops.

Professional Japanese tuners attending the exhibition noted the high standard of craftsmanship. This level of execution stems from Taiwan’s manufacturing sector. Longstanding local operations have produced OEM components such as air suspension systems, specialized brakes, and alloy wheels for overseas brands. These industrial roots now fuel a growing domestic aftermarket industry.

Inside the Custom Garages of Taoyuan

Beyond the exhibition floor, local operations like SGT (Shui Ho International Development Co., Ltd.) in Taoyuan City showcase experimental builds. Projects under development include left-hand-drive conversions for the Honda Beat and Suzuki Cappuccino, alongside a Volkswagen Beetle outfitted with Porsche-inspired aerodynamics.

The facility houses comprehensive fabrication and paint booths. One ongoing project pairs a Mercedes-Benz exterior with a Porsche rear-engine layout. These workshops maintain dedicated spaces to execute custom styling requests from local owners.

Parade Runs and Public Engagement

Stage programming included opening ceremonies, live performances, and awards presentations, alongside a prize draw for attendees visiting various booths. Outdoors, food stalls served local cuisine.

The event concluded with a parade run where exhibition vehicles fired up their engines and departed through a crowd forming a pathway. Spectators observed the customized cars maneuvering past the audience as drivers accelerated out of the venue grounds.
