Al-Marsad Newspaper: Nutritionist, Laura Legos, revealed the benefits of “bone broth” (soup), and does this soup provide health benefits for the body? in case of illness.
This broth is made by boiling the bones of animals such as cows, sheep, or birds such as chicken, in water for a long time, and adding vegetables, spices, and other ingredients.
According to Sky News, Legos said, “The aim of making this broth is to help pull important nutrients from the bones, such as collagen and gelatin, and amino acids such as glycine, as well as minerals such as calcium and magnesium,” which are beneficial for the intestines, skin, hair and nails.
For her part, nutritionist Gina Litt explained a set of other benefits, explaining that they provide the person with some nutrients from connective tissues, which in turn can help in strengthening muscles and bones.
And she showed that bone broth is rich in collagen and some vitamins and minerals, such as iron, fat-soluble vitamins and zinc, and works to improve the health of hair, skin and nails.
