The Office of the Chief of Staff stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the Chief of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Kamel Karim al-Dulaimi, today made a phone call with the child Abbas al-Basri, who refused to take the price of coffee from one of the Arab guests,” appreciating Abbas al-Rajouli’s position and thanking him. Al-Dulaimi said, according to the statement, that “this case, despite its simplicity, expresses the extent of the keenness of the people of Iraq, young and old, to preserve the images of authentic Iraqi generosity, stressing that the unique role of the people of Basra, who were the best representative of Iraq during the Gulf Championship 25.
