Daniel Woo, an agent for China’s Ministry of State Security spy agency, allegedly put pressure on Frank Creyelman. Repression by China of democracy in Hong Kong or even persecution of the Uighurs, the Belgian politician was to influence discussions on these subjects within European institutions. At the end of 2022, Frank Creyelman received this message from Daniel Woo: “Our goal is to divide relations between the United States and Europe”. At the same time, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was about to visit China. The former Belgian MP was thus asked to convince two right-wing MEPs to publicly declare that the United States and the United Kingdom were compromising Europe’s energy security.

Note that following these revelations, Vlaams Belang decided to take action. Friday morning, Chairman Tom Van Grieken asked the party’s board of directors to expel Frank Creyelman as a member. Pending a response, the former MP has been suspended with immediate effect. But an hour later, as relayed by our colleagues from La Derniere Heure, President VB announced that the decision had been taken. Frank Creyelman is excluded. Pattern ? His actions go against the goal and essence, even the name of Vlaams Belang. For the president, the loyalty of nationalists can only be directed towards the Flemish nation.
