Crypto users reported seeing “fluctuating” token prices on the Gemini platform hours after the token was relisted on the platform for deposits and trading.
Several members of the crypto community on X (Twitter) on Aug. 11 posted screenshots of what many described as a “price glitch” that saw the price of XRP offered on the exchange soar above 1 multiple times and even soar to $50.
However, the current market price of XRP is $0.63, according to tracking website CoinGecko.
Meanwhile, as of August 11. At 1:25 AM UTC, Gemini announced that they have put their platform into a full site maintenance.
Gemini said: “We are currently performing maintenance on the platform and therefore all services are currently unavailable. All clients’ assets and funds remain safe. We’ll provide updates here as soon as we have more information to share. ”
It also reported that some users were seeing timeout issues with the spot markets.
Gemini announced that it once again made XRP available for trading on its cryptocurrency exchange on August 10.
This comes after US District Court Judge Annalisa Torres ruled in the Ripple v. Securities Commission case that XRP is not a security when sold on trading platforms.
